Spellbinders Beee-utiful Bee

Hello friends, I hope you are enjoying your weekend- they go by so quickly don't they?!.  Our Saturday was a busy and a happy one - our son had a birthday - which started with a family brunch at our favourite place, and was followed by birthday cake and coffee at home - and present opening of course.  A fabulous day but I was happy today was much quieter - I even managed a 'Nana nap!' LOL!

I love  to find different uses for the Spellbinders Dies - for this card I have used the Honey Bee Etched Dies - you can see my original tutorial using the Honey Bee HERE. It has been used as a stencil onto patterned paper by Authentique Paper, using Imagine Memento Ink in Teal Zeal.  The stenciling has been repeated three times down the strip of patterned paper.  A few yellow spots have been added using Imagine Memento Ink in Dandelion.

Markings have been added to the bees using a Gold Gel Pen. This strip has then been adhered to a card front that has been embossed using the Spellbinders Embossing Folders Tammy Tutterow Designs Picnic and cream card stock.  The raised brickwork has been sponged using Imagine Delicata Ink in Golden Glitz.  I have used Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L Extreme Double-Sided Tape to adhere the layers.

Cut/emboss one Honeycomb using brushed gold card stock using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine – 6″ Platform, remove the extra pieces.  Tuck under the stenciled strip and secure using liquid glue.  The card front has been popped up onto a pre-cut teal card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.   Glue a few of the Honeycomb inserts/hexagons to the card front for extra embellishing.
