ODBD Fear Not - Sympathy Card

Today I am sharing a card that is very personal to me - recently the world lost a wonderful man, gone too soon and leaving a beautiful wife and family behind, This man and his family hold a very special place in our lives on so many levels.  This card is for his wife and family.

I have used one of the Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection sentiments and has been stamped using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko: Memento in Tuxedo Black. The message is one I have on my hearts for them - it is not the usual Sympathy sentiment but it is Scripture and so comforting - my prayer is that it will encourage them and they will feel the love we are sending to them.

The Crown and Wreath have been created using the Royal Medallions Spellbinders® “A Gilded Life” studio by Debbie Murray and Shea Fragoso.  The dies have been cut using the Spellbinders® Grand Calibur® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and Silver from the Foil Pack One .

Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and Crafty Foam Tape have been used on this card.  Some of the fabulous Want2Scrap Bling

This card is linked to the following challenges:

This Bicycle Die reminds me of my childhood, when I was a young girl - it was everyone's dream to have a bicycle - we would ride it everywhere and hang out with our friends.  To have a basket on the front - that was the ultimate - this bike would have been treasured by any of us....

While we are on that subject - who remembers banana seats and ape hanger handle bars - no doubt about it - if you had them - you had it all! LOL! They were the days weren't they!

Textured Birthday Wishes

There is no doubt about it - weekends are the quickest part of the week - they no sooner seem to arrive and then - just like that they are over - hopefully something exciting happened in the process.

I am usually busy in the Studio every day - some days I just play with product to take me out of my comfort zone - this card is the result of one of those sessions...

I have played around with  Imagine Crafts Featuring Tsukineko StazOn Inks on glossy paper.  Once this has dried I have used a Prima Stencil and Texture paste - I love the instant results.  The sentiment is stamped using Memento Dye Ink in Tuxedo Black.  The textured layer has been cut and mounted on a precut card base, measuring 10cm x 15cm.  I have used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares for dimension ,and E-Z Runner on this card.

This card is linked to the following challenges:

Live Every Moment

Hello Blog Friends - it seems to be a few days between visits lately - we have had a lot going on and I am working on projects - just not ones that I can show just yet, plus I am working on a few Workshops I have coming up...always something happening!

I created this card for my DD2's birthday earlier this week - not the traditional birthday card - but I love the sentiment and she loves the colours - so that has to be good - right!?  The background paper was created in August last year - at the Art-is-You Mixed Media Australian Roadshow.  The lovely Michelle Brown spent an evening getting everyone familiar with Gelli Plates - it was a lot of fun, but definitely time to use the patterned paper now! LOL!

The butterfly is from a Penny Black Inc Collage and has been fussy cut, coloured using Chameleon Art Pens and had some of the fabulous Want2Scrap bling added.

The sentiment is by IndigBlu and has been stamped using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Memento Dye Ink in Tuxedo Black.  This has been layered into the Fleur de Elegance Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Decorative Accents, which has been cut using the Spellbinders® Grand Calibur® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.  The flowers are from my stash!   Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and Crafty Foam Tape have been used on this card.

This card is for the following challenges:
As You Like it Challenge - Favourite Alcohol Or Distress Markers & Why - Chameleon Pens - love the unique system and colour range it gives
DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge - Use The Colour Orange --- Monthly Challenge Anything Goes
Crafter's Cafe - Animal Antics
