Petals

This card is created using the new release sets from Penny Black designed by my dear friend Nina of NinaB Designs, called Petal Party

It is stamped, coloured using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen, popped up onto a Spellbinders Labels Twenty Three Nestabilities using foam tape.  The Die has been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine

A little bit of shimmer is added using 3D Kindy Glitz, I love this stuff, it also adds texture.

The addition of  Want2Scrap bling is always a good look

Resulting in a very summery feel, which works just fine for me on our cold and frosty winter mornings.

Flight of Thread

I love making cards with these gorgeous new stamps by Laura Kirste Campbell for Penny Black.

A Flight of Thread coordinates with Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities, which makes cutting it out so easy - especially with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.  It is then layered into two small motifs from the Parisian Motifs Shapeabilities®

I have kept the image one layer, colouring it using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen, I love the depth of colour you can get using a Blender Pen, adds a dimension all of it's own.

Ribbon threaded lace, hand dyed Seam Binding and a Mulberry Paper Rose add a pretty touch.

Finishing off with some Want2Scrap Bling.
This card is for the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Things with Wings
Fashionista Challenge Winged Things
Incy Wincy Designs - Anything Goes

A Friend

I love this sentiment from Serendipity Stamps, who generously sponsored the Stampin' Sister in Christ Challenge some weeks ago and this was one of the stamps I received.

The sentiment is one of my favourite sayings and it paired beautifully with this bird from DRS Designs. I have had these images stamped and cut out for weeks and am happy to have FINALLY used them on a card!

The bird is coloured using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen and had 3D Kindy Glitz added.

The sentiment has been cut out using the Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities and the Die used as a mask before the sentiment was taken out.  My Die was cut out using the Grand Calibur.

The pearl flourish is from Want2Scrap - is didn't take long for this to become another addiction - their bling is divine!!

I want to say a special thank you to Theresa Blake-Calderini for sending me this gorgeous vintage Flower Frog, when I asked about them on facebook - it came beautifully packaged and her generosity means so much to me.

This card is for the following challenges:

SSIC Banners

I wish I could tell you that I had made this card for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge weeks ago but the truth is that I thought I had and suddenly realised yesterday I had NOTHING done - arggggggh!

So I checked out this weeks challenge, hosted by our fearless leader Kris, who has chosen:

"Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

Use FLAGS or BANNERS in your creation
(ie. create your own flags or banners… or in your paper, image)

I quickly grabbed things that were lying around in piles on my desk (as you do!) and created flags by folding thin strips of paper in half and dove tailing the ends of them.  Each flag is attached using double sided tape and embellished using buttons and mulberry flowers, finishing off with a row of pearls.

A strip of Spellbinders Classic Edges One Edgeabilities® and Classic Decorative Insert Three Edgeabilities®  have been added along the lower edge of the card and some gorgeous vintage lace added, a butterfly and pearls (of course!).  These Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

It all came together very quickly - PHEW! LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:
Fun with Shapes & More - must include die cut/punch
Stampin' For The Weekend - Show us Your Style
It's All About the VintageSummer & butterflies
Shelly's Images - Anything goes
Crafts and Me - anything goes
Thank you to this weeks sponsor.
Make sure you stop by the Designers Blogs are some amazing inspiration - these ladies are inspirational on so many levels!!
