MMSC106 Victorian Floral Bicycle

There is always something fun happening at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge and this week is no exception. Each week Priscilla brings us the most inspiring sketches - I love the fact that they are different from anything I would come up with and they inspire me greatly.

I have used an image from "priscillastyles" Store - this adorable Vintage Floral Bicycle image.

I printed it twice, colouring it with SU Chalks using a Blender Pen, then cut one out and popped it up on foam tape

The background DP has been embossed and the bling is from Kaiser.

You can see the dimension and the added texture in this photo

TCM Just For You

It is an honour to be a 'Friend of The Crafts Meow.'  I am enjoying the sets that Lisa has for offer at her new online store.

This set is called Just for You designed by  Claire Brennan of Waltzingmouse Stamps exclusively for The Craft's Meow.

This card was quick and easy to create and I love the elegant look it has taken on.  I am also loving the ''Macro'' setting on the camera I have just inherited from my DH who is a photographer and has upgraded - so...I am loving my new Pentax - and just had to show you a few close ups...

I stamped the image repeatedly across a strip of white card stock and added a pearl to the centre using Walnut Stain Distressing Ink.

Adding the sentiment

The DP has been embossed with the Jamara embossing folder - I love how deeply it is etched (and love it that I can show you with the new camera - WAHOO!)

This card is for the following challenges:
KB Cute Monday - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Always Anything Goes
My Crafting Partner in Crime - Always Anything Goes

I am loving the images from The Craft's Meow and as I am preparing this post, I have received some Happy Mail and my new sets from The Craft's Meow have just arrived - they are divine and I cannot wait to get them inky - so you know I will be back with more......I have so many projects that are already created in my head and yet to hit paper before my final eye surgery in 9 days....look out Craft Central - here I come!! LOL

Thank you for looking and for your lovely comments - you always make my day.  I do appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment - thank you!  I will be back later today with another post...any guesses who it is for...!?!  God bless you!

LOC Simply Love Notes

I nearly had a panic attack this morning as I thought I had nothing to post due to working on lots of sneak peeks that I will be sharing with you later this month, but then I realised I had some cards I created some time ago (quite some time ago! LOL) and uploaded as a draft but have not shared yet.  Just as well I did as Blogger is doing some having some issues - still - and won't let me upload new photos or comment - arghhhh!!

I tried my hand at some CAS cards - not as easy as it sounds - I get them to this point and so-o-o-o want to add more!!  So far I have created two but will probably add to them and make a set.

The DP is from Stampin Up and is leftovers that I have cut in strips - and layered onto the cardstock after sponging around the edges.

The script image is from the Layers of Color The Love Chapter and works so beautifully here - I do love the background scripts, especially this one as I actually know what it says (LOL) and love the fact that it is from 1 Corinthians 13 - 'The Love Chapter'

The Flower is from the Flowering Gems art stamp set - I use this flower a lot and love the way it can be blinged up or played down and is divine either way.

My second card has the same DP and some lovely crochet lace that was given to me by my friend Hannah aka bubblefrog.  I love lace and this one is gorgeous!  Single stitched ribbon has been added just above it.

My sentiment is also from the Layers of Color The Love Chapter art stamp set

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafting for All Seasons - Anything Goes
Truly Scrumptious - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Creative Craft Challenge - Restful Colours
Make It Monday - Always Anything Goes

While looking through some draft posts I realised I have a few more cards to show, so I can relax today and hopefully have some time to create some more - it is Saturday morning here and we are chilling out - you have to LOVE that!

LOC FAF True Encouragement

Friday comes around quickly and with is comes Faith Art Friday at Layers of Color.  This is one of my favourite posts and I am honoured to be hosting it this week.

Symbolism is something I always love to use with Faith Art cards and this one is no exception.  The Fleur Heart is perfect for this topic as encouragement definitely effects our hearts.....my DH always says that 'encouragement causes power and effect' - what a truth!

'But exhort yourselves each day, as long as it is being called today, that not any of you be hardened by the deceit of sin.
For we have become partakers of Christ, if truly we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end'
Hebrews 3:13-15
What is encouragement - this seems to have varying definitions for people, God's word tells us in Hebrews 3, that encouragement is not about paying a compliment to someone but rather encouraging someone in God. This encouragement does is not designed to make us feel good  - is not emotion based, but is to point us to the Word of God as our supply and move us forward in our walk with Him.

While being told that we are doing well with things, or our hair looks great today, is always a great feeling and yes, it does make us feel good but I would suggest that this is more a compliment and let us encourage one another in that way, but may we continue to 'build each other up' in the things of the Kingdom, to 'spur one another on' in God's ways and in our relationships with Him.  While paying compliments is a great feeling, and something I like to do - I pray we do not lose sight of the true meaning of encouragement as told here in Hebrews, as it has eternal value and this is what is important!

I pray we fix our thoughts on Jesus and focus on the one who can do all we need.  We are part of an amazing building and God is the architect!

For this project I have used the following products: Layers of Color Fleur Heart, The Love Chapter art stamp sets. Belle Brocade Art Stencil, Spellbinders Grand Calibur, Basic Banners One and Labels 13 Nesitbilities. along with Rangers Distressing Inks.

Tres Chic

I have been busy creating but am am not able to show you anything just yet - as I am working on some SNEAK PEEKS....and having so much fun doing it!!  In the meantime I have something quick and easy to show you.

I was sorting through my stamp sets and trying to streamline a little bit ( who am I kidding!? LOL!)  This stamp set was in the pile 'to go' until I took some cards to one the Boutiques that sells my cards and saw a canvas, with a dress on it that looked just like this one - so straight home and out of the 'to go' pile it came - well-l-l you have to give me credit for trying!!  LOL!

I paper pieced it straight onto some green up
the dress

along with a mixture of postal markings from various stamp sets

and finished off with a few pearls and some paper piercing.  It was as easy as that - I will definitely be making more of these.

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafts and Me - Gems and Pearls
Paper Shelter Challenge - Anything Goes
Truly Scrumptious - Anything Goes
Creative card Crew - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting today - I always love to see that you have stopped by - your comments make me smile and I appreciate each one.  I hope you are having a great day and even manage to find a little 'crafting time!'  God bless you!

LOC Medallion Flower

I wanted to share a card with you today that I created using Layers of Color art stamps.  I have been busy creating lots of projects but cannot share them with you just yet - shhhh...move in a little closer and I can tell you quietly that they are for an a New Release for a certain company LOL!

This gorgeous flower is from the Flowering Gems art stamp set and is such a fabulous one to use for many different projects - infact I have many of then stamped off and ready to use whenever they are needed.  This set has different size flowers and is perfect for creating your own layered flowers too.

The flower has been popped up onto a punched Medallion - I got this idea from Becca Feeken's Blog - Amazing Paper Grace - she tried it with a number of different punches and I thought I would give it a try...I have to say - you need to see Becca's Tutorial to see how good she makes them look - I need to practice more and get a ScorePal...LOL!

You can see a little bit more of the dimension in the photo above - I have used a Martha Stewart Punch for my Medallion.  It has been attached to some DP that has been cut with a Stampin' Up Top Note - thanks for the loan Ann!!

I have finished off with some pleated DP from my scraps pile, two rows of paper piercing complete the look!  What do you think!?!
This card is for the following challenges:
