SSIC LOC Shabby Heart

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is brought to us by the very sweet Miesje

'Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth'  1 John 3:18

Make a card/project that uses no words on the front yet signifies love

What better way to show love than a heart - I am using the Layers of Color Fleur Heart art stamp set and thought I would try a one layer card this week - this is a HUGE challenge for me!!

I stamped the image directly onto some DP from a Craft Magazine that I was given by my friend Chriss - I had left it sitting on the printer and  it gave me the inspiration for this card - so thanks Chriss!!

I added some gorgeous chiffon spotted ribbon that was part of a RAK from my friend Gunn, adding some punched branches (thanks again Gunn) and a handmade flower.  I used a small circle punch for this flower and am happy with the result - there will be a tutorial coming in the next week!  The pink pearls are also part of the very generous RAK from my friend Gunn - they are divine and will be featuring on many of my cards - so thanks again Gunn!  Where would a girl be without her friends!?!? LOL!  Well, my cards would be boring without mine I can tell you!!

This was a very quick card for me - I almost feel like I cheated but I am happy with the result and that is what counts in the end - isn't it!!

This card is for the following Challenge:
CR8FN  Color Challenge - Light Pink, Bright Pink and Chocolate Brown

and
Allsorts - Love, Love, Love

The scripture that Miesje has chosen is one that is very close to my heart.  It is so easy to 'talk the talk' without always 'walking the walk.'  Faith is a wonderful thing and we all know that without it, it is impossible to please God.  God's Word also tells us clearly that 'faith without works is dead.  It is not enough to believe, our actions need to reflect what we believe....You may be the only Bible people get to read!!

In 1 Corinthians 13 (the Love Chapter) we see that although we speak with tongues of men and angels, that without Love we are nothing....it is not enough to talk the talk, it needs to be tempered with love, and that leads to actions,  There are so many examples on the Bible of Jesus speaking and then following it through with actions  how much more do we need to do this!!

Please pop back over to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge Blog to share Miesje's inspiration from this weeks scripture.

Make sure you stop by the Design Team Blogs and see that gorgeous 'works of the heart' they have created for you!!
