LOC Mother Hen

I have two cards to show you today from the Layers of Color New Release set Rise & Shine - they are very different from each other, which I like - especially as after a while all of your cards feel like they are the same...

The first card the Mother Hen card - don't you just love these chicks....they are coloured with chalks and cut out, some of them are popped up on dimensionals onto a circle that has been sponged.

This is layered onto distressed DP with a torn, sponged strip with a Martha Stewart punched fence added behind the circle.  Torn and sponged corners are added - these have been stamped with the Merci Bouquet art stamp set, which has been coloured with chalks and had Kindy Glitz added to the centre of the flowers to add that 'touch' of sparkle!

The next card definitley has a more masculine feel - I love this Topiary Rooster.  I have embossed the image and coloured him with chalks, sponged the edges and 'ticketed' the corners with a small circle punch.

All edges have been sponged (which will be no surprise to those who visit regularly !LOL!) A middle panel of DP has been added, it is layered into white CS.  Ribbon has been run through the Nesite Tag , the sentiment is from PTI.  The fabulous corners are part of a RAK - I love the finish they give.

Brads are added to the image, which has been layered onto black CS.  As you can see, this is a very versitile set - I am looking forward to using it more - we have chickens of our own and there is plenty of inspiration to be found with them.

Be sure to check out Layers of Color and  see what the other Designers have done with this lovely set of stamps - I love it that we can all start with the same thing and end up with something so different - we are all unque and that is one of the things I love about this wonderful passion of ours!

Thank you for calling in and for those lovely comments you leave for me - I love knowing that you have been - you make by day!  God bless you!
